Ann Dolores Murtagh was born in Shercock, Ireland, in 1930. She married Cecil Maxwell in 1955, and bore eleven children.

Her last years were spent in the care of her youngest son.
They were years of isolation, fear, and abuse.

Dolores Maxwell died in 2010, at the age of 80.

This is an attempt to tell her story.
It is a story of broken promises, broken hearts, and broken bones.
Dolores, may you finally rest in safety and peace...
